Wargames Illustrated have released this 'Unboxing Video' for Rogue Stars. It give a little more insight into how the game works.

Yup, that looks like a lot of fun. Count me in!

Peter Cushing: Wargamer

Yes, that's right, Peter Cushing, the man who portrayed all the greats, Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, Van Helsing, Grand Moff Tarkin (on second thoughts, with that list of credits, his geekyness wasn't really hidden was it) was a wargamer. A player of H.G. Wells Little Wars no less. The proof? Why I have it right here!

I'm fully aware that this is not news to most of you, but British Pathe making available all their old film allows this little gem to come to light.

The Second World War in 7 Minutes

I'm not a huge fan of World War II gaming, but that doesn't preclude me, as a history enthusiast, from enjoying this little video. A great video, that shows, per day, how the borders of Europe changed during the war.

Steampunk War Movie: Arms Race, Escalation

I was made aware of this little movie by way of the Wargame News and Terrain blog. A fun collection of steampunk videos on You Tube. Very well made, and I think the steampunk aspect, at least in the costumes, is perfectly underplayed. I just sat and watched all 6 of them, whilst painting my second Rifleman section for Dystopian Legions.

I'm aware that steampunk can be a bit of an acquired taste, it's certainly not always for me, but I think they're worth a look!
